What do I teach?
My classes are tailored to the individual or group needs in relation to their English level, job and budget. Practical English training for immediate workplace impact and confident communication is of utmost importance. Beyond grammar and vocabulary, blending language skills with culture, essential business communication and soft skills to navigate a global marketplace are an integral part of the learning program. My lessons include interactive and audio activities that focus on topics related to your goals. I combine these activities with a conversation-based approach so you are empowered to begin communicating quickly. My goal is to inspire you to develop a love for the English language so that you feel confident and motivated on your English language journey. I hope you will join me ……..
How it works!
Step 1: Email me at ritakurtz7@gmail.com. Tell me about what you are looking for in an ESL Business class, your English level and your available times for classes as well as the number of classes that you wish to sign up for.
Step 2: I will set up a ZOOM meeting with you so that we can discuss my proposal for your lessons.
Step 3: I will give you a fixed price after we decide on the time and number of lessons. My fees range between $20 – $30 per hour depending upon the number of classes that you sign up for. Twenty-four hour notice is required to cancel or change a class. You can pay the invoiced amount by Zelle directly into my bank account. Your money will be refunded at any time with 7 days notice, if you do not want to continue with the classes for any reason.
Who am I?
Hi, I’m Rita Kurtz and I live in Laguna Woods, California, USA. American English is my first language. Teaching English as a Second Language is my profession and my passion.
The exceptional experience that I provide my clients is reflected in my past roles as an English teacher, real estate manager, salesperson, and Peace Corps volunteer in Eastern Europe and the UAE. My understanding of other languages and cultures makes for a diverse set of clients. ESL teaching, management, sales and business skills have given me the ability to relate to the ESL business needs of my students.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Education and thirty-six hours beyond my master’s as a Language Development Specialist/TESOL certificate. My teaching experience spans many years with ten years teaching ESL for business.
When I am not busy working, you will find me on my patio in Laguna Woods capturing California’s beauty in watercolor.
